Role Description The Healthcare Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Cidade de Maputo, Mozambique. This position involves assessing healthcare needs of workers and communities, providing basic medical support within the scope of training, and coordinating referrals to appropriate health services. The role includes collaborating with labor, gender, and social action teams to integrate health considerations into programs and policies, delivering health-related training and awareness sessions, and supporting emergency preparedness and response activities. The Healthcare Specialist will also maintain accurate health records, contribute to reporting and monitoring, and participate in cross-sector initiatives aimed at improving occupational health and overall community well-being.

Qualifications

Healthcare and Medicine skills, including practical experience in clinical or community health settings.EMT or equivalent emergency medical training, with the ability to respond to urgent health situations safely and effectively.Strong Communication skills for interacting with diverse communities, delivering training, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.Experience in Training, especially in health education, occupational health, or community outreach programs.Knowledge of public health, occupational health, or social protection frameworks is an advantage.Relevant diploma or degree in healthcare, nursing, public health, or a related field.Ability to work on-site in Cidade de Maputo and travel locally as required.Demonstrated commitment to gender equality, human rights, and inclusive service delivery.
